TimTaylor751647545500
Guys, just replaced a clutch master cylinder on a '98 Civic. The master cylinder install was very simple and I got everything bled properly but now the car won't go into gear. Any suggestions?

TimTaylor751647545500
Not sure, is it cool to pull the rubber cover off of it? Car goes into gear with the car off, but not while the car is running.
TimTaylor751647545500
Yeah...the slave is moving. I just tried to re-bleed the clutch using a one-person bleed kit and it yielded the same results; won't go in gear when running, when its not running, you can put it in gear and then start the car and it won't go out of gear. Also, the car creeps forward when in 1st without releasing the clutch.
rl
Keep bleeding it. If you pump the pedal will it go in?
TimTaylor751647545500
Fixed it. You know when they say that it's normally the most simple thing that creates the most headache? Yeah, that's what happened here too. The one I replaced had the "shaft" completely threaded to the end. The new one was backed all the way off. The cylinder rod wasn't going all the way into the housing. http://inlinethumb07.webshots.com/44038/2975623510025981935S600x600Q85.jpg
