and for everyone doing this just follow the instructions on his site it will go live at noon, it will auto unlock the baseband and install tethering. If you jailbroke your device with blackra1n and still have the app just re-run it and it will auto update. If not then there will be a package in cydia for blackra1n later on today to install and update everything

depending on when it was built you might have the new bootrom and it would have to be a tethered jailbreak meaning if it dies or shuts off you have to jailbreak again to keep the jailbreak.

everything is live now on his site

here is the tutorial like always lol

I dont want to use blackrain. Is there another option out?

I have the custom ipsw files for 3.12, but I am not sure they will work now that you upgraded to it within iTunes. There is a new version of Blackrain I saw just released. Said to be better. Why does it matter...you have to wipe the phone anyways, so whats the difference with the method you use?

lol why dont you want to use blackra1n i used it and it works well no problems at all and takes all of 20 seconds to do. You can use a custom ipsw in itunes you just have to know what you are doing lol look on iclarfied for tutorials.....you cant mess up the phone as you can always wipe and start over.

and will you might have to reset your network settings for it to show up as i did
