This defines: CHASSIS / SUSPENSION FRONT SUSPENSION: All cars must retain factory stock-type suspension. Bolt on aftermarket suspension components allowed, including coil-over conversions as long as the stock mounting locations are maintained. REAR SUSPENSION: Suspensions can be either stock-style or Ladderbars, coil-over shocks allowed with any legal suspension combination. FRAME & CHASSIS: Stock frame rails must be retained in stock locations front and rear. Sub frame connectors are permitted. Rear frame rail modifications are allowed for tire clearance in this class. DRIVE TRAIN ELECTRONICS: Progressive systems, which control nitrous/fuel delivery, are allowed. Electronic or automated boost controllers of any type are allowed on any forced induction vehicle. ENGINE: No cubic inch limits. HEADS: Aftermarket cylinder heads, aluminum or cast iron are allowed, no aftermarket spayed or canted valve, Big Chief, or any "Pro Stock" style heads are permitted unless the motor was equipped as such from the factory. (I.E. Big Blocks and Cleveland Fords)) NITROUS: Any Nitrous combination is allowed. Nitrous may not be used in conjunction with any other power adder. SUPERCHARGER / TURBOCHARGER: Any Supercharger or Turbocharger combination is permitted. TRANSMISSION: Any automatic transmission with torque converter allowed. OEM or aftermarket Manual transmissions permitted. Clutchless models prohibited. Pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, etc. shifters prohibited with either transmission type. STREET EQUIPMENT BODY: The car must retain its original appearance and profiles. Aftermarket fiberglass parts are limited to hood, front fenders, trunk lid/hatchback and bumpers only. No 1-piece front ends allowed. INTERIOR: Vehicles must retain a "street appearing" interior. Factory door panels, carpet and dashboard are required. Two front seats required (bench seat OK). Back seat may be deleted. WINDOWS: Must be of safety glass. No Lexan permitted. The only exception will be the rear window of an El-Camino or other truck for roll bar access. All front door windows must be fully operational. STREET LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: All cars are required to have working headlights and tail lights (headlights doors must be fixed open or work manually or automatically on cars so equipped). Brake lights and turn signals are not required. TIRES: Any front tires permitted with minimum 4.5" tread width. Rear tires are limited to 30" tall with a 10.6" maximum tread width as measured (10.5" sidewall marking). Any slicks or DOT tires are allowed as long as they meet the maximum size requirements, no "w" tires permitted. Vehicle Weight: The minimum weight for True Street is 3000lbs on all vehicles. As for what makes a street car.. The above rules are good. But it doesnt' mention anything about cooling. It should be able to be driven in traffic. Which means an adequate radiator and fan.
