Rally Pat
Sweetness, Tristan. Thanks.
tristanlee85
Actually I'm an idiot. Compare the timing diagram I posted to the wheels you have and look and the timing pulses. They match exactly those wheels so you are good.
Rally Pat
Thanks for figuring this out for me, Tristan, you are the man. I'll be getting with you soon to pick up that thing. Edited May 18, 2010 by Rally Pat
tristanlee85
I may need to mail it to you. I don't live in Grove City anymore and I'm rarely in Columbus.
Rally Pat
Sean helped me work on it a little today. We cleaned up the surface of the heads with high grit sand paper, and did the same for the block. We actually planned to assemble the longblock today, but while we were working I got a call from my mom that her Escort had broken down, so we pretty much stopped for the night so I could go help her. We hope to get everything we planned on doing done tomorrow. No pictures to show, as there isn't really anything to see, but I'll snap some tomorrow when we get the heads and timing belt on. I forgot about a few pulleys, but its coming soon enough. I am going to start working on the intake manifold in the meantime. I need to see about swapping the side-feed injectors and fuel rail over to the 2.5 intake manifold I have, which has top-feed injectors and fuel rail. I am also going to clean and reorganize my currently messy garage.

Rally Pat
Think I am going to order the timing kit today to finish off the front of the motor. Its that or the parts to fix the shifter, but I think the shifter can wait.
Rally Pat
Timing kit arrived yesterday, 3 days late, but its here now. Way too expensive for 4 pulleys. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/28d40140.jpg

Rally Pat
What happened to it? Lets put it this way. A half gallon of water dissapeares between work and home. Then this morning, the thing starts smoking profusely, temp gauge pegged on H.

Rally Pat
New daily till the Suby is done, a 1984 VW Quantum, with the Audi I5. Great condition and low miles. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/0ea3d4b8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/3c9b838b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/39c2a22b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/757219b4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/4feb5016.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/02a8c117.jpg

Rally Pat
Time is running out fast. I need a pickup truck, and I am at the mercy of the one I always borrow, which is why I haven't started yet. I've got to haul some stuff out of the garage that I put out there from house work. Also, I spent all this weekend working on Sean's cars. I plan on starting this weekend.
Rally Pat
My Canadian relatives were in town this weekend, so I only had about an hour to do any work on it. I took the hood off, airbox and pipe out, AC disconnected (already evacuated by Sean/crossle), took the radiator out, took the battery out, disconnected the alternator, and thats about all I had time for. The rest of the weekend was spent hearing "eh" a lot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/fd1ec8f4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/a7e00d37.jpg
