Rally Pat
Started today with a much needed upgrade to the garage lighting. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/0cff86fd.jpg We then proceeded to finish disconnecting whatever was connected to the motor in it, and began to take it out. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/92cff434.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/eb6071bc.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/2d820281.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/f3261fa6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/d7001429.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/27687d4e.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/4253db6f.jpg

I didn't take any pictures of the flywheel or pressure plate, but they are pretty burned up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/6c554a33.jpg
Rally Pat
This was a massive PITA, and I broke a few pins on the bottom row, but I think it will be ok to use. Pretty sure I can fix whats broken. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/ab65e6c8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/2d6e59b9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/20bbcf82.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/cce8c489.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/11c450cc.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/6f148ff6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/227a17e8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/f8fdfd04.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/518b56c7.jpg
Rally Pat
Picked up my exhaust. Stainless up-pipe, 3 in turbo downpipe, 3 inch midpipe, stock STi axelback. This turbo had better spool instantly with whats flowing through it. Also might have an STi header lined up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/9379a530.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/30c67efc.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/f0f09cb5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/a13c4204.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/ed7f70e2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/1915b43b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/f9b5a4d7.jpg
Rally Pat
Had the day off today, so I went to Byers and ordered shifter bushings to fix my floppy shifter everyone that drives my car complains about. (It really needed to be fixed anyway, it was hard to find gears some times. lol) After that I came home and took the old exhaust off of the car. I put it next to the new exhaust so you can see the size difference. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/3ab0437a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/8f373fd1.jpg And for no reason I took a picture of the STi logo on the muffler. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/396e4f5a.jpg

Rally Pat
Is this going to be ready for winter so I can violate you @ snowdrags ? If all goes according to plan, I may be able to make the last autocross and rallycross events. So yes, and you will lose this year like you did last year. Rally Pat
Got the timing belt and most of the accessories on the motor. Left the alternator off to make hooking up the oil pressure sensor easier. Trying to figure out what to do with the timing covers, may need to fab something up. Also took one head off of the old motor to see if we could see any damage. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/b6438964.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/954914d8.jpg

Rally Pat
Let me know if your working on the car.. You got a header for me? Or better yet, a wrx or sti intake manifold? Also, I work on the car pretty inconsistently. My schedule is so busy that its basically whenever I have time. I might try to work on it tomorrow night. I also decided to run the stock Subaru 6/7 setup. A guy on NASIOC was trying to talk me into running just a stock STi crank wheel and no cam wheel, but I decided against it because of time. I don't want to wait for a crank trigger to fire this bad boy up. I have also been in talks with DIYAutoTune, and will probably be upgrading from a MS1 on a v2.2 board, to a MS2 on a 3.57 board. ...and I've got a stock STi suspension lined up. So yeah, the project is coming along.
Rally Pat
Not planning on stripping the interior out, but want to remove some weight from the car. What I will probably do is carpet over what I took out, in order to dampen the sound a bit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/ecbe5f15.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/850194e0.jpg And I found a random copy of Pokemon Red under the carpet in the trunk. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/7dd8290b.jpg

Rally Pat
Ordered some parts, and I am waiting on them to get here. The first is a 1991 Legacy Turbo engine crossmember, one of the parts I was having a pretty hard time finding. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/9f380a30.jpg The second is a 2005 STi Intake manifold, with TGV's and fuel rails to match. Throttle body not included, which doesn't matter cause I can't use a stock STi one anyway. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/734d0997.jpg

Rally Pat
In my never ending quest to not waste my weekends, after the Porsche club autocross today I focused on the gas tank of the car. It was full of 87 when I parked it. Heres the list of ingredients to remove it: 1x long section of Audi 4000 heater hose 1x Fuel pump 1x Jumper cables 1x Battery 1x Fuel Jug 1x Fire Extinguisher....just in case I didn't take any pictures of my setup to get this done, but because I know you need something to look at, here is the Fuel jug filled with old gas. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/3f325677.jpg While I was in there, I took my Walboro 255 that I had laying around from my Turbo Mustang days (never used it) and adapted it to work in my Subaru. Didn't take any pictures of that setup either, although I should have. Heres a picture of the stock one to, again, give you something to look at. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/ac0cca3c.jpg
Rally Pat
Megasquirt shipped today, should be here by Wednesday. As far as the Turbo Crossmember goes, I am awfully close to filing a Paypal dispute, as its been almost 2 weeks and the crossmember hasn't shipped yet. But the good news is, THE MANIFOLD IS HERE! Pictures of the TGV's, Manifold itself, and the STi fuel rails that are on em. Now looking for someone that will gut my TGV's for cheap locally. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/030a21c2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/fd333031.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/14cbd75b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/Subaru%20Swap/26d6775e.jpg
