V8 Beast Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 I hate geico with a passion.. only company I can say I will never do business with again. I had a guy run into my envoy in Athens. He was at fault but since his tin can took more damage they blamed my wife and paid the other party. When I tried to fight it (mainly because the name on their claim didnt match the name of who was driving) they ignored it and paid it out before we could fax over anything. Then a year later my payment was lost in the mail so they cancelled my insurance. After paying them for 10 years on time, and only one accident which they made my fault, I had to start over. I have everything else through State Farm, my agent was able to get through a lot of issues getting my boat insured that no other agent was able to get done. I did check him, and they are $110 more each month than the quote I got from Geico. I know State Farm handles claims good, but thats a difference of over $1300 a year! Thanks for your input V8 Beast. NP. They had great rates and were good until the accident. If you can save a lot I say go with them. The likely hood of having payments lost like me would be almost impossible. Posted December 18, 2009 Report Share Posted December 18, 2009 My kid banged up the front of her stang' and I had a shop in Westerville give me a quote of about $2300.00, geico had the car looked at down at their own place, and then called the shop in westerville, all of a sudden that shop wants to fix the car for what geico said it should be. $800.00.
