Rustlestiltskin
Well, last night I installed a new video card and everthing is working well except for one thing. Now, I dont have any sound and my computer says I have no audio device. I'm kind of a computer noob so i'm lost at this point b/c I cant find anywhere on the computer to get my sound back. Any suggestions? thanks, Paul
dakotart
Did you install the software from the CD included with the card? Sounds like the driver is not installed (or not installed correctly
Rustlestiltskin
I installed everything right on the video card, it's just I don't have sound for some reason now and I don't know why
dakotart
I suggest removing the audio software, reboot, reinstall audio driver (download from manufacture website), reboot and it should work.

87GT
Is your sound card onboard or is it an expansion like your new video card?

Rustlestiltskin
Is your sound card onboard or is it an expansion like your new video card? its onboard, I dont have an aftermarket sound card in any expansions. So what do you think could be the problem?
unfunnyryan
If you have a newer ATI card with HDMI and HDMI audio, your motherboard may have detected it and disabled your onboard sound. Go into your systems BIOS and make sure integrated sound is enabled.

I put it on enabled and boom. sound everywhere lol. thanks a bunch man
