grease monkey
So I got a new lap top for xmas, its got windows 7 all the trimmings and what not, but im confused about something, I havent had a NEW computer in a few years, and last time I got one, it came a bunch of backup disks and what not. This one did not. In fact it came with NO disks, cd's, or dvd's of any type. It had a flyer that said to install the battery, plug it in, and push the power button. then follow the directions to set it up and all that. So what happens if I ever have to reload the operating system? I have no software to do it with... Oh, and I also have no specs on the computer, i don't know the processor speed, the hard drive size, nothing. haha and of course it did'nt have a spec sheet with it either... Is this how all electronics are coming now?
RedRocket1647545505
I think it will prompt you to burn a backup disk during the setup.
Rally Pat
Most laptops and desktops now don't come with software cd's, they usually have restore partitions.
Earl1647545488
Let me guess, is it an HP? Yeah, it probably has a restore partition. What sucks is that that partition will also restore the adware and crapware your PC came with, so there's no way you'll get a clean installation. That's one thing I like about Dell, they still provide you with the Windows disk.
