Skinner
Anyone ever been there? Its a old coal mine that caught fire an still burns to this day. Was thinking bout taking a road trip there this summer. The town from what I can tell is dead and all boarded up but is still accessible. As far as I can tell people are allowed into the area and some people still live in that town. Another neat fact looks like the game Silent Hill was based off the town location wise. http://www.offroaders.com/album/centralia/centralia.htm http://www.damninteresting.com/the-smoldering-ruins-of-centralia

jerrodh
Interesting place never been there but would love to see it thats for sure. And correct alot of silent hill's games and of course the movie are based on this exact story. In the movie they use this story pretty much word for word, the coal mine still burns today, etc. why it is so smokey blah blah.
