Miller
Anyone able to chime in on the quality of this and whether it is overclock-able? I need a laptop that can run my editing software for my business and do word processing.
AMC74AMX
The Dell Studio Line is really nice. I don't believe it can be overclocked and not sure I would on laptop since they are usually heat sensitive any way. What type of editing software are you refering to? This will run any word processing app without issue. A 2.0 GHZ Dual Core with 3GB RAM are decent specs for pretty much any business application. Let me know if you would like to check out. Miller
I run Sony Vegas 9 Professional video editing software. I need 2.53ghz minimum. I was going to purchase my laptop this week that could run the software I was just seeing if this would be a cheaper and more convenient option. Thanks for answering my question quickly, though. AMC74AMX
Looks like 1GHZ processor and multi-core for HD and 2GB RAM Recommended. Based on System requirements this laptop should handle it without a problem, but I know video editing apps can be finicky. 1fast5gp
Dells can't be over clocked. Dell Bios is locked from the factory. To run video editing software, you might want to laptop with a dedicated video card.
