BlackMess
Might be a dumb question but how to do remove the large round vacuum plug on the back of the intake that the the map sensor goes into. Does it twist or just pull off?? I dont want to break the damn thing!

Cordell
All you do is pull the map sensor straight up, the little section that it pops into doesn't come off.

There should be some LS2 intakes like that though. Why would you want to pull that out anyway?
BlackMess
haha I was hoping to move the map and just plug that hole so I can still use the other port for the brake booster. I guess Ill keep playing with it till it eventually breaks!

BlackMess
Got it off! Just pryed it around the edges, had about molded clips around the edges that held it on!
Brandon
You can re-drill the manifold and relocate the sensor under the bottom left side in the front of the manifold to the left of the throttle body, this is common on corvette fast manifolds (works in the same manner with factory) which have firewall clearance issues as well. You then can seal the hole in the back (carefully to not have an air leak) and you will be fine.
BlackMess
Whats the best way to plug the back of the manifold? some type of rubber freeze plug?
Brandon
Whats the best way to plug the back of the manifold? some type of rubber freeze plug? I have seen online a bunch of variations, from small freeze plugs, thread Allen plugs, jb weld, junk map sensors cut up... There inst a per say correct say, I like the threaded plug, with sealant.
