CJINOHIO03
How much extra does Pearl paint normally add to a normal repair? I am talking like a front bumper on a Toyota in the White Pearl? Is it hard to match etc?

I am talking like a front bumper on a Toyota in the White Pearl? Is it hard to match etc? Considering Pearls are usually 3 or more stage coatings, yes. Costs are usually higher for the materials (base, mica additive, etc.) itself. There is also more labor involved with multiple coat applications. Hard to match? Yes, very. Most places choose to blend the surrounding panels so that the difference is harder to see.
Clifford Automotive
Like stated above its adds to cost. Per panel you should see 1 hour added to the labor hour for the pearl coat. No more no less. Is it hard to match? Not really, 3 coats of base, 2 coats of pearl and 2 coats of clear. Can it be fucked up? For sure! Will the cover be a different color? Good chance, but you may get lucky. If it wasn't pearl would it be a different color? There is a good chance in that too, as factory paint and aftermarket application, is a different process. As well as working environment, like humidity, temperature, etc. Subtrates also add to this color difference, as platic and metal effect paint differently, as to how they lay out.
