Guest tbutera2112
I want to go to this event. Anyone else interested? It's 5 hours from Columbus and June 5th. http://allstreetchallenge.com/Home_Page.html i read the rules and im unclear on something...maybe you can clarify for me? Stock appearing cars, no full tube chassis cars , stock type frame rails from firewall forward. No all fiberglass cars unless they came from the factory this way ( ex. corvettes ) what do they consider stock appearing? i would take that as meaning no tubbed cars, no cars with blowers through the hood, etc.....but would my cowl hood disqualify me? and what about the cage? its been a bit since youve seen my car, but it has stock v6 bumpers front and back, no badges, a ton of tint, prostars, and the cowl hood...hood is all im that iffy one i wouldnt be going with any intention of being the fastest car there...but it still sounds like a good time

Guest tbutera2112
oh and i just saw the $500 entrance fee... i thought it was only $15 since i only read that part on the main page and never clicked the "payout" page
Linn1647545492
It would be fun to race in the event but there will be alot of 8 second cars from Chi town coming down. Rob is correct, you would be fine with the hood/bumpers. They are just trying to make it's a true street car event.

Guest tbutera2112
I might go to race. wow, running with 8 sec cars seems like a big improvement from the last time i saw your car out beating a low 11s car by a fender goodluck if you do decide to race

A lead vehicle (along with a police escort) will take all competitors on a pre-determined 30 mile route that will start and end from the staging lanes. Each car's hood and hatch/trunk will be sealed before leaving on the cruise. Once these seals are applied no adjustments, changes, cooling or adding fuel will be permitted until after the first round of eliminations. Any competitor that cannot complete the 30 mile cruise in its entirety will automatically be eliminated. Upon returning from the cruise competitors will pull directly into the staging lanes where the order will be determined by pulling names out of a hat. After the first round seals may be broken and any changes will be permitted except a tire change.

Making it a true street car race. It will be interesting to how many of the cars run out of gas.
Guest Removed
I'm hoping most of the really fast cars can't make the drive. Making it a true street car race. It would be interesting to see if they don't let you refuel how many of the cars run out of gas. well, i hate to say it..but the amc boys car could make that cruise easy, and still go run 8's on the first pass. but most may not make the first round due to a lack of fuel! Guest Removed
its on the Race page didnt read that far in, and still dont like the no adding fuel until after the first round. but that will separate the men and the boys.

MrMeanGreen
I'd go to watch, but am not wasting $500 on my 10-second car being eliminated the first pass.
