Operation "Cutout"

A few weeks ago installed a nice cutout package from RaceReady. It's an awesome setup, and the cutouts are warrantied for LIFE, which is nice, so if I ever burn a motor they will replace it. The install was fairly simple - I cut out about a foot of pipe and inserted the y-pipe, strapped them in and bolted the cutouts on. The downturns took some extra cutting because of the low clearance. Then, ran the wires, hooked up the switch, and presto!!

Quiet, loud, quiet, loud... :)

I also had this lovely hole where I was *going* to mount the switch, but... that didn't work out. So, I had the idea of cutting and forming the old "SVT" sill plates and running them along the console. Turned out good!

That turned out great. I didn't realize RaceReady had that kind of warranty, I may have to get some.

I really looked into it. I researched Summit's, QTP's, Pypes, RaceReady, you name it. Most of them only warrantied the EC's for three months, maybe six months tops if I remember correctly.

My last call was RaceReady because they were probably another $80 or so on top of everyone else, but when the guy told me they warrantied them to the original owner for life, it was a no-brainer.

Everything is very heavy duty, and they work great! I also substituted the bolt-in downturns that came with the kit, with ones that swiveled 180 degrees so that I could get the direction that I wanted. Glad I did! They can be pretty simple to fabricate too if you have the tools.
