turboking15 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Share Posted March 24, 2010 a friend of mine has a mid 90's, i believe it is a 95 ill have to double check, bmw 525i. he just changed the battery and now the car wont start. when you turn the key all the dash lights and whatnot come on but the car will not crank over and i dont hear the started solenoid either. just wondering if anybody out there could shed some light on this problem. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Smokey Posted March 24, 2010 Report Share Posted March 24, 2010 I know it sounds stupid, but have him remove the battery and charge it fully before putting it back in. If he just took it from the store and put it in then it might not have enough charge. Any time I've had a no-start no-click problem it was the battery or one of the connections. If a fully charged battery does not solve the problem have him look at all of the wiring starting at the battery terminals. That car should also have a fusible link hidden near the battery.
