TURBOED Posted April 16, 2010 Report Share Posted April 16, 2010 So I bought a new aluminum Ultrashield racing seat for the miata, and I need some help getting it mounted to a Corbeau slider. I have a pretty easy plan to do it... I basically just need two 1/4" x 1" x 14" strips of aluminum tacked along the bottom of the seat (running front to back). So... I have two questions for all of you lovely CR folks: 1) The seat is 5052 grade aluminum. Does it matter what grade aluminum strips I buy to have welded onto it? Or is any aluminum to aluminum OK? 2) Any of you amature welders up to the task for ultra cheap and/or free?
