There was a stat during the Olympics that like 9 out of every 10 Canadians play hockey....Then you have the other countries like Russia, and the chezk republic where Hockey is huge too. The only lists where I can even find ice hockey listed as one of the top 10 most popular sports in the world they're down near the bottom and basketball is in the top 3-5.
