CRed05
I saw this commercial, where the CEO walks around telling everyone how they repaid the loan and how cool they are, when I noticed that they showed a car that looked like an Opel Insignia OPC, the car that is replacing the Opel Vectra. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhoejIGrvlQ (fast forward to 55 seconds, car on far right) So I did some searching, and it will be coming to the US, but stupid me got excited thinking that they will bring it over as is, with AWD, Turbo 2.8L V6, 320hp....wrong. It will be sold here as a Buick Regal, 2.4L, or 2.0L Turbo...front wheel fail. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Insignia Still a decent little car, but do no want. Here it is as the Vauxhall Insignia VXR http://imotormag.net-genie.co.uk/siteimage/scale/500/1000/69140.png
nicktcfcsb
The only way they could have repaid that loan is if they went and used all the bailout money to buy drugs in Canada. Also, the last thing I want is a GM with ONstar, its going to be the start of big brothers taxation on mileage.

It will still be a nice car. not as nice as a awd turbo v6 but I am sure it will be a lot cheaper and not near as much maint.

Tripleskate
That Vauxhall is a damn fine car, but the Regal coming here isn't too shabby either. I will go as far as saying the upcoming Regal GS will be in Buick's "Top 3 Best Looking Cars Ever Made".
skruffy
Didn't they just repay the bailout loan with another government loan? Sorta like me getting a second mortgage on my house to pay off the first one.
CRed05
I did just find out about it being brought to the US as a Buick...But I've known about the Insignia for a while and the OPC version and how much I wouldnt mind having one. But GM failed to deliver, this is a car that will be in direct competition with the S4 and 335xi for almost half the cost AND its still German! FyrhzrdGT
Top Gear drove the VXR last season, looks awesome. I saw the Regal GS at detroit, not as good as the VXR but I still liked it.
Mallard
Easy now. The Regal GS will most likely come here, which is identical to the OPC, except it has a 255HP/295 Lb-ft turbo 2.0L Ecotec instead of the 2.8L T V6.
6 Speed S4
The opel version with the 2.8L turbo... is that the same motor they put in the Saab 9-3 V6 turbo and saab Sportcombi awd v6 turbo? If so those are really fun motors
