shanez
Hey guys, another fun newb post! Yay! Well, I'm hoping to get access to some new local car hookups and tech infor through this site. I dont know why I hadn't thought to register here earlier. Not much about me to say. I'm starting to get back into the car scene again after a few years of laying low. I've had my share of random junkers and sweet little DDs. I'm currently rockin an EK hatch with intentions of puttin my own little touch to it. Well, not trying to extend this post so lets cut it short and end with, I hope that the C-Bus racing members and I can have some good times. p.s. gotta get some pics of the ride posted soon. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y205/doug684/ekhatch.jpg Edited May 23, 2010 by nurkvinny need to add pic 3

shanez
here's a picture nothing special. very simple car for now. I currently have a mugen twin loop exhaust, function and form coilover, blox front control arms, rear disc conversion w/braided stell lines at all 4 corners. Hoping to have a nice set of wheels soon, and start planning a motor swap before summer gets here. Oh and also planning on painting it cyber grey metallic when I get a chance to prep it really well. Can I suggest the motor swap first before wheels and the super duper twin loop rollercoaster exhaust ? shanez
wow, we seem to have already come to a great start fellas. Well, for all those bashers. Lets start by saying if anyone of you think a mugen twin loop exhaust is a joke I welcome you to listen to any "true" mugen twin loop and see how much better it sounds than any of your everyday fart can exhaust. I gaurantee, that you will eliminate the rasp and it sounds baller ass! Secondly, the car is stock for now and yes even though I have an exhaust and not much more it will not stay that way. You dont actually think I'm some little kid running around racing shoppin carts in my honda do you? I laugh at anyone of you that think that. I have done my fair share of building nice cars from sr20s, other hondas, to the well renounded skyline motors! Oh, and not to mention a few really V8s from the new modular mustangs, to LS1, to LS2 and even some old school big block chevys. So, please lets cut the bashing down to a minimum and give a warm welcome to a fellow member. Oh, and Xyster101, please do inform me as to why everyone must race a car in someway if they are going to modify it? Especially, if it's a daily driven car? Let me guess you must think very little of someone who does this?!?!?

Habitual Sinner
Why mod a car if your not going to do anything with it? You should ask Craig (SinisterSS) the same question. lol

shanez
Well, to answer the question of "why mod it if you're not going to do anything with it", I deffinately intend to take it to the drag strip when a swap is complete and the occasional autocross meet actually doesn't sound bad. Just never got into the autocross much. So, my intent is to make a car my own, and drive it in what ever manner/style I feel is me. I am a big fan of road racing, NOT "street racing". I would love to do something like that and Yeah just because it's a honda and isn't going to hang with some of the badass cars on the track doesn't mean it wouldn't be a fun experience. Otis Nice
Welcome. Always wondered about that type of exhaust. I still don't fully understand why, but as you said, build your car for you and enjoy it.
