Recommended Posts

Got a chance to get out in the '68 c10 we have yesterday. Loved the weather though. So i thought i'd share some of the pictures i took and a quick video of the exhaust. I still suck with a camera but i tried my best. Hope you guys enjoy.

Badass.

Would look so much cleaner without the flames though. Even the blue window tint isn't that bad.

like i said earlier, i'm torn on the flames i like them and hate them. they add so more chrome to other wise pretty clean exterior so just a little life lol, but yeah they are sometimes hokey.

I can deal with the blue tint even with the fact taht is soooo 70's but the flames need to go they take away from the truck.

Overall very clean and well done, take away the flames and it will look good in almost any decade as a clean, well put together custom.

Soo anymore info on the truck.. ie motor trannymade any passes?

454 + .040, 490+HP x 540 FT pounds of Torque 10-1 KB Forged pistons, recon rods w/ ARP wave loc bolts

781 heads Ported with 2.19/1.88 SSTvalves

Lunati 60204 cam, Micro Trol lifters,

Ported Edelbrock Performer Rpm manifold armor coated

Holley 770 Street Avenger carb,Headers armor coated

Built by Watson Ruppel Performance in Sarahsville Ohio.

Th350 built by Hardshift Transmissions ,TSI 10" 3000 stall

12 Bolt Eaton Posi 4.10 Richmond Gears, moser axles.

Yes it's made 3 passes at pacemakers but none worth mentioning, the truck has a very very hard time hooking at all and then it wheels hops alot of the way down the track... lol it almost hooks better on the street to be honest.

Understandable -- it just appears to have a "shaved-esque" look going on for it with no emblems or any BS on the outside (which I love) so the flames appear out of place to me.

However, still a badass truck.

Beautiful truck. Torn on the flames though. You should bring it out to one of the meets.

thats up to dad, he seems to think going out and cruising on friday/saturday nights is all about street racing:(, but he did agree to one night bring it out to sawmill after jack maxton, so we'll see. Hopefully that'll change his mind lol.

Got any video of it doing a gnarly burnout?

Not yet, hopefully by the end of the month, has a linelock on it, so it lights the tires up even easier :D
