99BlownYellowGT Posted June 18, 2010 Report Share Posted June 18, 2010 In my 1997 Ford escort i was smelling something burning when i turned the ac on. I turned it off went to turn it on the next day and nothing happens the heat wont blow either. Is this the blower motor or did i burn something else up and would this be an easy fix? TurboRust Posted June 18, 2010 Report Share Posted June 18, 2010 i would 1. check fuse 2. check for power at the blower motor, 3. no power then check for power going into the resistor 4. power going in but not out. bad resistor. 5. power not coming in, bad control unit.
