Feeler 91 RX7 2.3 turbo swap

TurboRust

Recommended Posts

I have no time right now or in my near future to road race this car like I built it to. Therefore I'm posting a feeler to see if there would be anyone interested in trading for something with a drag setup, or buying outright. mods are as follows:

91 rx7 black/black originally an auto car from Georgia swapped to 5spd

zero underbody or frame rust.

car has paint and lots of it, meaning it was a maaco job at best.

all body parts/mods have under 2000 miles on them

Front and rear pads and rotors, with stainless lines(4 piston fronts)

koni yellows with eibach ground control coilovers

front camber plates(well used not under 2k miles)

rear sway bar deleted(still have)

rear toe eliminator bushings

new rear hub bearings longer studs installed

fenders rolled(front dented while rolling so I bought the fiberglass ones)

fiberglass 30mm flared front fenders(not installed and need paitn)

big alum radiator with taurus fan

factory gas and oil pressure gauges work

aftermarket tach,

autometer coolant and 30 psi boost gauges

innovative wideband with blue gauge

walbro 255hp fuel pump with upgraded wiring to 10 gauge

pioneer stereo that could use replaced

sunroof(doesn't open needs pulled apart and lubed up)

17x9 mb wheels

fr: 245-40-17 bridgestone re-01r(brand new)

re: 255-40-17 toyo r888 (road racing tread left..2/32nds)

factory 15"s with 195-60-15 all seasons(40% tread)

Drivetrain

88 2.3 turbo block and head

ranger roller cam with adj gear retarded -4*

.60-.48 t3 at 15psi (makes about 220whp and 280wtq)

kirban adj fpr

stock 36lb/hr injectors(extra 3 included)

sheet box upper with 65mm tb

knife edged ported lower(all 1 pc. welded)

ported rfe6 exhaust manifold

big k@n

fmic using 2.25 pipe and a grand nat'l core with custom endtanks

3" down pipe

catless

3-2.5" y pipe at rear

dual stainless magnaflows with 4" dual rolled wall tips

catch can

wc t-5 trans

new clutch

new hydraulic slave cylinder

new hydraulic slave master

braided stainless clutch line

custom driveshaft made by columbus joint and clutch

88 gtu clutch type locking rear end

head gasket, bolts, waterpump, thermostat, hoses, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, timing belt all new

Thats a depressing list. There are countless hours of fabrication done myself and Tinman, and I have over $5000 in parts, but I'm not expecting that much. The car is a little rough around the edges but would be perfect for roadracing and a fun summer street car, thats what I built it for. It just seems drag racing fits my busy schedule and budget a little more than road racing does.

So I'll trade for a well prepped foxbody or something with a solid rear that can be modded for 1.4x 60's..

or sell for $4300 with the 17x9 wheels or $3900 with the 15 inch stockers

I know the add says original georgia car but did this by chance come from here in town more recently. I sold one for a friend of mine a couple years back that had a blown rotary (imagine that). Im pretty sure some CR guys bought it. It was sold from a neighborhood up off of cleveland ave. in westerville if this is the one.

It was actually purchased from Lee Bevins (wive's car), who did alot of art for GM, USAF, etc..
