Guest tbutera2112
recommended is 32:1 or 4 ounces of oil to a gallon of gas...probably wont hurt to use premium

Matt906
Try 32:1, if you start fouling out plugs I'd switch to 40:1. A lot depends on how you ride.
AWW$HEEET
Related question: Is it bad if you putt around on a 2 stroke, or does it need to be wound out the whole time for the health of the engine?
SPL_Josh
I run 40:1 on my 2 strokes. I've ran 32:1 didn't see any extra benifit. Related question: Is it bad if you putt around on a 2 stroke, or does it need to be wound out the whole time for the health of the engine? You can put around and still be fine. It's not going to hurt anything except your plugs for the most part. I'm not an expert, but I will foul plugs in no time just loafing. Riding harder will keep them clean for twice as long. If it gets hard to start, your plug is probably about done. Sounds like you and me both need 4-strokes

Puttin around can be done but also riding the piss out of it can also result in 2 blown motor's lol 4 stroke all the way!
