wnaplay1647545503
+1 This will fix the issue.... If you are getting the currupt error then that is the trojan doing it. Boot to safe mode and then run it. If you still cannot get it downloaded, than download it on your laptop and then copy it to a usb thumbdrive. Then take the thumbdrive to your desktop. Also install and run it on the laptop! If it has seen porn....You will have issues on it too. Malwarebytes is awesome! It will find all sorts of stuff that you will never know is there.... Thats what I was going to do. I forgot about. I even spent 1/2 hr searching for the drive and sat it right here next to me. Doh...

wnaplay1647545503
Found 167 on my laptop but it always runs great. Found 40+ on the desktop but I was still having issues so I cleared out some startup programs, and delted a few other things and still had issues. I then removed both programs thinking they may be conflicting with security essentials and so far so good.

I recommend MB all the time. One thing I have noticed when walking non-techy people through it is that when you're redirected to Cnet to download it - make sure you're clicking the right link, not an ad made to look like the download button. You want the one with this symbol (below) next to it. Maybe your download is failing because you've clicked on the wrong link and are trying to download spyware that's being rejected by your AV? Just thinking out loud. http://i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/i/tron/download/dlNowGrn.gif Edit: I missed the last page somehow and see that you apparently got it installed already. 87GT
If you scan and delete threats and they reappear after reboot scan in safe mode. If they still come back format and reinstall windows.
