99BlownYellowGT
I had my notch out yesterday started just fine it had been running a little rough at idle but it was still running this started to occur after i switched out to a MSD Dist Cap...so i went today and decided i would switch out to the original cap. Did that and now it wont start. I switched back to the MSD and still nothing. Pulled the plugs they looked like they were fouled and i can smell fuel on them. Swapped the plugs out put new wires on and still nothing. This is a Carbed car and it is getting fuel.I have double and triple checked firing order. This is a 351W so any ideas what to check next or anyone have some extra time to help me out? I was supposed to throw it on the dyno tomorrow at PP. schmuckingham
Its either the coil or distributor
99BlownYellowGT
Replaced the coil...im thinking my dist might have moved some which would explain the pinging i was telling you about
Dave1647545494
check the dist drive gear and the oil pump shaft they like to twist up and break on those before that make sure it isn't something easy like a wasted rotor button though
99BlownYellowGT
Yeah i messed with the distributor a little and still had no luck. I am going to have to pull it out and look at it i think. I changed the coil so thats not it.
