Boxxbanger1
I am giving some thought to getting a better block and I thought I would see if anyone here has any advise/input to Dart, R or Boss engine blocks. I am making 510whp now, and I wanna run more boost. Any thoughts? Anyone know someone looking to sell one of these blocks??
ICEMAN1647545504
They are all good blocks. They cost about the same and they handle about the same amount of power. I think that the Boss is the cheapest out of them 3. All of these blocks are good up to 1500 hp.
Boxxbanger1
I think I am going to go for the Boss Block. Any idea what a DSS 331 SuperPro short block is worth used? It would be disassembled and minus Rods. It would have Forged Pro-Lite flat top pistons with it.

Buckeye1647545503
Build a 427+ the more power you make off boost the less boost you need = less heat
Boxxbanger1
just buy new I was asking what it would be worth because I am thinking of selling my spare stuff. Build a 427+ the more power you make off boost the less boost you need = less heat My pockets are not that deep.

Boxxbanger1
$800-$1000 max. Including the Valley Girdles that are still in the box, Cometic head gaskets unopened, windage tray that mounts to the main girdle. Would that up the value much??? ICEMAN1647545504
It all depends what a person would like to pay for it. They may pay more.
schmuckingham
Some new parts and a used block without rods and used pistons just wont work especially since its going to crack down the road. You would be better off selling the used stuff individually and trying to return the new stuff. The valley girdle and main girdles do nothing but hold it together when it cracks. Boxxbanger1
I guess I just need to keep what I have until it splits in half.
