nurkvinny
Was this a 4-cyl car? Can you tell from these pics? http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=536&pictureid=4380 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=536&pictureid=4381 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=536&pictureid=4378

Skinner
VIN should say if it was
ICEMAN1647545504
VIN should say if it was True. It's easy to swap a V8 and a 8.8 rear in these cars. The vin will tell you for sure. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't have 5.0 emblems on the sides. But yet again the car looks repainted so they might have been taken off. Buckeye1647545503
Inner fender does not seem to be cut for air box and 99% of the time when a aero is carb is becouse is was easier than installing a efi harness. BUT check the vin belive its the 8th digit
ICEMAN1647545504
Sharp car though.

nurkvinny
Why does it matter, its a clean car. Always good to know the details. Also, I'm pretty sure the suspension was much different on the 4-banger cars. dunno. fenders say its a 91+ is all i can tell lol. Interior usually says a ton. What makes it a 91+? This is an '88. iwashmycar
oh ok. well they look like mid 90 (usually 91+) fenders. The wheel arch will match the rear one.. they made them bigger to fit the pony wheels. the older cars have a noticeably smaller flare so those, along with the hood (obviously) are probably not original though it just appears that way to me... no way to really tell w/o seeing the rears i guess

,,,,,,comma,,,,,,
Get the vin, that would be a really nice v8 lx to find if it is one.
ICEMAN1647545504
The dash is out of a GT. The LX dash does not have a marked fog light switch because LX cars did not come with fog lights.
Buckeye1647545503
Those looks to be turbo coupe seats. So it looks to be a lego car so I bet it was a 4 popper

iwashmycar
Damn was at least hoping for original seats lol. And like ICE said, the dash is GT. Probably not the original speedo, that went to what?...90?.. looks to have the 140 or whatver they were. Im going to blindly vote 4cy as well... thing is PIECED together lol. Which isnt a bad thing necessarily
schmuckingham
The springs and front brakes were different for the 4cyl but it looks like all that shit has been changed
nicktcfcsb
If it wasnt a 4cyl why would you have carbed a good efi car?
nicktcfcsb
Is this the one that is 6500 that was at the mustang show last weekend? I am pretty sure it is, okay paint not great and has a sunroof = boo
Guest tbutera2112
4cly front suspension is better anyways.... more weight transfer, people use the springs out of 4cyl foxbodies for their cars all the way up to 2004
iwashmycar
If that thing is 6500...lol. But thats beside the point i guess
rb26deet32
Im going to say it's a 4 banger. Who takes out a good efi 302 and throws in a carbureted motor? Well I did...lol But who else would do that? The thing looks clean as shit. If you don't want it I'll take it.
