04silvrz
What products have you used with success? Have a couple minor scratches on the back bumper I would like to get rid of. I see tons of stuff out there. I have already tried 'scratch x'. a couple years ago I was told that was really good stuff, but it doesn't seem to be working at all with these scratches. Ideas? AudiOn19s
Can you feel them with your fingernail...if so they won't go away Scratch-x is about as agressive of a polish / compound that you'd want to use by hand. More agressive products will only marr the crap out of the finishe if not used with a machine. Andy
04silvrz
dang it. yeah, u can feel them. so it would have to be repainted? both of my bumpers need repainted now.... SHIT!
05SC-GT
I just tried the new Turtle Wax scratch removal after a positive review on mustangforums.com, and I didn't think it worked worth a sh!t, even on small scratches.

Basically...You can make them look better by wetsanding and knocking down the sharp edges then polishing, but it'll only be marginally better. 04silvrz
hmm.. is that hard? sorry to be a noob but, is there a machine required in doing that? maybe a buffer to apply the polish? i have seen those things for the drill. would that work? it would be cool if they just weren't as bright, if they blended in the paint it would be real hard to see them.. Littleguy
I'd use a buffer on it for sure, like has been said before, depending on the size of the scratch wet sanding and polishing can work wonders.
