AJ
on my camaro, for track days i am thinking about adding a front splitter and a rear wing like this one. http://www.aprperformance.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=44 my plan is to have two deck lids one thats cut for the wing and one that has a rear spoiler on it for non track days. now if i leave the wing on when i drive around would i be a ricer or would the awesomeness of a vintage muscle car in race trim make it ok? RS69
Track use okay, but on the street ricer. I personaliy don't like the rear wing, but has a function on the track.

Mattsv8
ricer 90% of the list for wings on that page are ricers. i say go with the true 60s can am camaro wing. and leave it on.

craig71188
It ain't rice if you can back it up. I do think the "Can-Am" style wing is more appropriate for the car though...
AJ
i wouldn't be leaving it on all the time just to and from the track. i also have to have another set of stiffer springs to go along with all the down force from those mods. i mean this weird thing called technology came along between now and the 60's so i might as well take advantage of it right? i already have the street spoiler picked out. its not stock. Crossle
i mean this weird thing called technology came along between now and the 60's so i might as well take advantage of it right? I agree with this statement, now find a wing that looks like the can-am style, but with modern technology.
Yasser-Hanbali
wait wait....... wings are not cool? lol something that big belongs on the track and IMO i kind of like the look of it on those cars
V8 Beast
Since the car is older from a technological and aerodynamical stand point it needs to have the wing to help create more down force to assist with traction and acceleration in, out, and through turns? If so I like it... if not you are a ricer
Farkas
ricer 90% of the list for wings on that page are ricers. SHUT UP... seriously. What's rice are the clear turn signals on your fucking truck.. A carbon fiber GT wing on a track car, actually serves a purpose. :gtfo:

FourString
function before form. at 120 the wing i linked to creates 260.64 lbs. of down force. Those numbers would be enough to convince me. I say do it.
V8 Beast
Definitely do that.... Or another option is to pay a fat girl to ride in your trunk. Both are removable when needed.
Ry_Trapp01647545522
yes to the wing and splitter! as far as using it on the street, fuck everyone else. they can think "rice" all they want, it doesn't change the fact that your using the thing. tracked out muscle cars just look badass anyways, the above pics are proof. BIGGU
would it be THAT tall? Paul you do realize for a wing to be functional it must be in the cleanest air flow possible to create air flow for downforce. Sure it can work when its in dirty turbulent air but its not going to work as good, Besides It doesn't look much taller than your SRT4 wing was. Xyster101
Get one and drive on the street. A wing looks like rice on a civic or front wheel drive car. Look at these two bad ass cars from Mid Ohio that run: http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/MidOhio/2vette.jpg http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/MidOhio/5viper.jpg
Rally Pat
Wow, half the people in this thread don't know what the fuck they are talking about. Go for it. That AI Mustang is awesome.
Mallard
Get one and drive on the street. A wing looks like rice on a civic or front wheel drive car. ALL cars need downforce on the track, even FWD cars. A wing like this would still be every bit as functional on a FWD car. I say do it. I would get tired of changing the trunk lid every time I took the car somewhere.
wagner
function before form. Spoken like a true racer I don't know a ton about road racing but from my drag racing experience it makes total sense.
