CJINOHIO03
Only way to get it to go off is to leave key in igntion for 10 minutes. This has been doing this for a while. I have read know this is a known problem only way to fix this for good ro replace a body control module or cut a yellow ignition wire. Anyway know the car wont start at all. Although, the car was run out of gas. Does the factory alarm control shut off the fuel pump or fuel system (injectors) ? Or is the fuel pump just shot? Thanks CJ Edited September 13, 2010 by CJINOHIO03 added info
ohsolow
I had a 2002 Grand Am which is basically the same car do this and it ended up being the ignition switch. I bet you are having the same problem, I think that it's a common problem. Local dealership had the parts in stock.
