Anyone know a good alternative? I don't know anything about modern VWs. There used to be a good shop on route 3 south of westerville back in the 80s but I couldn't locate it online...must be gone. TurboNova Posted October 26, 2010 Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 If its a 6 speed or a dsg they are problems, most end up getting a new mechatronics control unit (inside the trans case) on a dsg or a valve body on the 6 speed. If the mileage is reasonable have her call vw 800 number they almost always help when you bitch.
