Igor
That is a great deal, the manual says it will run on a 230v input voltage. http://content.lincolnelectric.com/pdfs/products/navigator/im/im687.pdf (Page A-1) Monte, An Electrician will have to install a hefty transformer in your garage for it to work. BDHG940
THE 230v is the 10732, my model is the one below it, 10733 which is 460/575 My dads shop doesnt even have the correct wiring for it so I doubt you are going to have the correct wiring for in your garage. Might be able to get some sort of transformer to work but I got no clue man. Im just pissed now and going to ditch it and buy some brand new overpriced machine that I will prob never use

russian rocket
if you did not change the wires inside the plug on the welder to match the wires on your outlet, please make sure the wires on your outlet resemble mine http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b331/kliped/IMG_20101029_165700.jpg also, here is a pic confirming that it is 220 http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b331/kliped/car/DSCN6759.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b331/kliped/car/DSCN6758.jpg
Guest GMoney
http://content.lincolnelectric.com/pdfs/products/navigator/im/im687.pdf Look at the top of page A-1. We were getting 208 at the welder. The 10733 states that it is the 460/575/1/60 model.

I didnt check ground after i looked up the part number of the actual welder.

I didnt check ground after i looked up the part number of the actual welder. i am not sure if the internal transformer was switched or not but when i purchased it, i told them to make it work for 220 and they did. since you didnt check your ground, check it now. check all your wiring, i promise you this works on 220.
