evan9381 Posted February 4, 2011 Report Share Posted February 4, 2011 haha...i had something almost exactly like that happen on my elantra...i guess when i used engine cleaner, it took away the protective grease and eventually my wire kept shorting out the whole ECU and the car wouldnt run. finally figured out what it was. $10 for a new sensor with ~8" of wire, solder them together, put some heat shrink on them, worked good as new, no issues ever again.
