evan9381
anyone ever cracked a rim and been able to get it fixed? my buddy and i were going to a concert friday, and he swerved to avoid a pothole and ended up slamming into another...about a mile later we heard the flat and pulled over...the sidewall blew out (205/40's or 215/40's i think), and when he got it to NTB for a new tire, they found a 1/4" by 1" crack in his wheel. i guess the shop called somewhere, not sure where, and they told him $125. does this seem about right? also, anyone had curb rash fixed by them? i rashed his wheel (same wheel, lol) a couple months ago and told him i'd get it fixed, he just hasn't been pressed to get it done, so i figure once the crack is getting fixed, if possible, i'll get the rash fixed for him...its a 17" wheel and the rash is 1/2 - 2/3 around the wheel
Farkas
NTB works with Wheel Medic, so that's the correct going rate.
