Buckeye1647545503
http://www.thegunsource.com/item/519313_SmithWesson_HandgunsPistols_SWGOVERNOR45LC45ACP410275SCANDIUM.aspx I have always liked the raging bull but in my mind (I may be wrong) S&W makes a better gun. Thoughts?

Scotty2Hotty
I'd buy an S&W over a Taurus anyday of the week. I figured S&W would eventually capitalize on the .410 rounds on the market.
macpyro2
Iv shot my grandpaws, its a fun gun to shoot.....once.. I would have no problem using it for home defence though.
Scotty2Hotty
The ability to shoot .45ACP with moonclips is a welcomed bonus. Granted the pistol is also a 6 shot wheel gun. Wouldn't suprise me that S&W will get sales from it, but I'd expect atleast another $300+ more than the Judge. Atleast the S&W shouldn't blow up in your hand. Taurus brought out some 28 gauge version of the Judge aswell I guess. I assume 12 gauge is next?
Mark1647545493
I see that this gun will shoot .410, 45LC, AND .45ACP.... Does the Taurus shoot .45ACP too or did S&W do something different to the their model?
Scotty2Hotty
The S&W will only shoot .45ACP with moonclips. I only assume it adds a little length to the case to compare to .45LC. The Judge has never been advertised to shoot .45ACP. But then again, I haven't really taken the time to look into them being made by Taurus. Buckeye1647545503
A: what are moonclips? B: Would this be anything more than home defense ? What range would those 420's become worthless?

Moonclips http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQg5FQUDgo9G-a3JI-hlWUevwzWXAAwIDCLW1t8re6kJucMC0KO The Judge has been around for more than 15 years that I know of and it's never been more than a novelty gun. I've shot one before and it's really no big deal. It might not be bad home defense with the Winchester PDX1 .410's, but I would never recommend one. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTrapkUQ_JJ4QZerQP-dYn7DTu4I6naBUzCEVOz1BGGPCE17PE-
Furloaf
.410s aren't bad, but the barrel on the Judge is too short to achieve decent velocity to make them effective against anything bigger than a snake. It is a novelty gun, adequate for shits & giggles.
Avenger1647545502
They are DAMN fun with high-number birdshot or dust shells...stand back 25 feet and turn a 12in Shoot-N-See into solid green. There is a carbine version that may be more useful.

There is a carbine version that may be more useful. The version I shot years ago was the Thunder 5. I had more fun shooting .45LC's than I did .410 bird shot. I remember having to aim the gun damn near off the target to hit close to center at 25ft. http://www.imfdb.org/images/5/59/Thunder_5.JPG The Circuit Judge is the carbine version... http://cheaperthandirt.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/RossiCircuitJudge1.jpg
