  1. Might look into the Aguila 60gr subsonic loads. I can't speak to how MUCH quieter they are, but they are quieter and will cycle a 10/22 or Woodsman pistol.
  2. Looking for self-pull yards in central Ohio area other than PicknPay, Woodys, and Cantleys. What is left out there now?
  3. Hit up http://www.rimfirecentral.com if you haven't already. If it can be done with a 10/22 somebody will have a write-up on it there.
  4. I used to be really into it. Most of the cool abandoned places are either gone, redeveloped, too dangerous, trashed, or actively patrolled now. There are still a lot of abandoned houses and farmsteads out in the rural wilderness, but those aren't really worth the risk...judges out there do NOT like trespassing cases, and too many abandoned places are used as meth labs.
  5. That guy with the red RX-2...jeez, I felt so bad for him. Car was beautiful.
  6. Could have been Ricky's dad, age range is about right. He took good care of it from what I saw. This was 5 or 6 years ago. It stuck in my mind because there were 4 GTs delivering pizza in the area at the time. That one on the Hilltop, a black one at the Donatos on Norton, another black one at Josie's, and a repainted orange one for Papa Johns. What are the odds?
  7. You found this on West Broad? Was it owned by a short stubby fireplug guy named Ricky? He used to deliver for some pizza place on the Hilltop, that truck is missing the tonneau because a 300+ lbs tranny hooker decided to trampoline it Wrestlemania-style while he was stopped at Central one night...
  8. That ice is probably well past 30 inches thick. When the hole gets too deep, they just move 10 feet down the track.
  9. What kind of mid-size base-model SUV does his wife let him drive?
  10. Oh, there is a Facebook group called "OHIO RV AND CAMPING GROUP" that is pretty good.
  11. The lower campground at Blue Rock is NOT the first place I would want to take anything bigger than a truck bed camper. I've tent camped there about a hundred times, most of the sites are okay. The ones across the creek are nicely isolated. I haven't camped the upper one yet, can't tell you on access there. Camp Falling Rock is nice, been there with Dad's Scout Troop about a dozen times. I don't think they are open for individual campers, but they have rented to business groups.
  12. If they do a tube, it'll be underground most likely. MUCH easier to get right-of-way from Bub the farmer if he doesn't have to worry about the impact it has on his fields. And it'd eliminate a LOT of bridges along the way. I could see this happening in about 20ish years if they get the costs and routing right. Right now, gas is cheap enough that the apparent disadvantages of point-to-point mass transit outweigh the benefits.
  13. Anyplace but Trulite...I used to work there, quality control is abysmal. Scratches everywhere.
  14. OHP used to have a red 3rd gen with a 502 and everything Hotchkiss made that they had seized from a druggie. Mostly used as a DARE car, but it apparently got used to reel in some Honda exec who had been tonning 33 in a Lotus Esprit V8...
  15. Book Lift sold out of them but are getting more. I wonder where Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer are going to be?
  16. I'd take bets on plantar as well...my wife had it BAD for a year or so, to the point of not being able to even walk after sleeping for more than a few hours. Rolling and curn stretches helped somewhat, but the big thing was getting custom orthotics and braces to keep her feet from bending while asleep.
  17. Just needs a birdcatcher intake through the hood and some Stone Temple Pilots blasting....
  18. Dodge Razor, and the 2007 concept Demon. Just gorgeous cars, and could've been a dead-serious Miata beater. Gonna get some hate for this...but the Pontiac Aztek CONCEPT had tremendous potential. GM totally bonked it when they insisted on using the tall-cowl mini chassis.
  19. Columbus MAY eventually pay out, if it is their section, but only if you make it your second job to pester them. State will "lose/not recieve/incompatible format" your claim paperwork. Because government.
  20. I've seen Miata, Datsun Z, T-bird, and Jag swaps for the entire suspension. Just about anything COULD BE swapped in as a pumpkin, and live axles are endless too. But I'd bet on Miata or Z if its IRS, and Toyota is if it live.
  21. There is a huge crow rookery near 315 and Bethel. Literally several thousand of them. Enough that I claim to have survived a massed murder.
  22. I've had my beard on fire twice...not an experience I care to repeat! Honestly I'm a bit surprised it doesn't happen to welders more often. Come to that, getting beard hairs caught in a crack or cut on a mask hurts like a bitch, flip it back for a look-see and you've got a bloody chunk of chin dangling at eye level...
  23. Sennheiser is the way to go. I've had a dozen pairs over the years, and haven't been anything but impressed. Beats....well, they have good bass, but since I've lost all my Techmaster P.E.B. cds....
  24. I had an '82 Rabbit diesel with a 5-speed. First gear was good. Drop the hammer, wait half a second, dump the clutch at 2500rpm, launch nice and hard. First gear was GREAT. The next 4 absolutely sucked dead donkey balls. Once you got to 20, the accelleration was glacial.
