My parents have been talking about replacing their 93 Camry with a Prius. It old them to get this instead.

I figure if you're gonna get a Prius, might as well be good looking.

Looks like my MS3. I remember seeing this as a concept and posting here about it.

Yeah but you can get a Prius with leather interior/heated seats for less than $30k.

I honestly don't know why anyone buys new Lexus. Their resale value isn't tremendous and in most cases you can get a nicer Toyota for less.

edit: unless, do they have some sort of amazing warranty?

Ok, you can't get a 300HP AWD Toyota sedan for under $41k.

But now that they're FINALLY recognizing and fixing the fuel pump issue, I don't see why you wouldnt just get a 335xi. Comparably equipped its more money but its so much more fun to drive. Also, you can get a proper manual gearbox on the BMW.

Just to put things back in perspective, my parents are in their 60s and own two Camrys. They don't want AWD or 300hp, and resale value means little when they keep cars for 18 years. My mom wants a Prius, I'm trying to talk them into something with a bit more... fuck, anything but a Prius. Because whatever they get will be cherry when they're 80 and have like no miles on it.

It's going to be hard to sell the CT over the Prius though. They don't like leather, and my mom still can't figure out the auto climate controls in their '03 Camry. My dad said it was a good looking car, which is promising, but might not be enough.

Because some people like Lexus over BMW?

Lexus really is the perfect brand for people your parents age. Very comfortable and quiet cars, Lexus service is much better than BMW or Mercedes, imo, and Lexus cars feel softer than Audi's.

My parents are both 60 and both drive Lexus. My dad has an AWD GS300 and my mom has an AWD RX330. Both cars suit their needs perfectly. They used to be Cadilac people, but like the Lexus so much more.
