Laptop Screen

Is it possible to replace/have a laptop screen replaced? I have a nice big break in my Toshiba screen after someone drunkenly stepped on my laptop this weekend. For all I know it could have been myself.

It isn't that bad, as I am typing this on it now more coherently than Paul on an HD LED screen.

It is about 5 years old. Is it even worth it?

Quick google search for toshiba laptop screen shows most their screens go for $80-$150 bucks. Depends on the screen. But yes you can definitly have them replaced, could probably do it yourself even, not to hard.

Its a very easy repair, but depending on the model it can be a pain to get the darn thing apart.

On a side note, I'm looking for an older touch screen laptop. Anyone know of any resources that would get me a make/model list?

A model that can rotate its screen 180 and lay flat is especially appealing for my application.

Like trying to watch it on QVC at night circa 1998.

Ahh, I remember the days of scrambled porn. Sadly, the fantasy created using the bits I could see to fuel my desparate imagination were generally better than what was actually being shown.
