Browning
Any of you ever removed a 4.3 vortec from an early 90's(94) bravada? Care to share some tips? I am having getting to things such as top bellhousing bolts. Seen online about people raising the body up a few inches and pulling the engine and transmission together but it still looks like it'll be a very tight fit if not impossible to do by myself and with the tools I have. 351mach11647545510
I think if I remember right, drop the trans mount and let the trans tail drop a bit then you can get it but it's still a tight fit and takes time and patience.
Browning
Apparently pulling the engine and trans out together is going to be a no go without the radiator support being removed first and raising the body off the frame which I'm not going to be able to do. So now I'm hoping to pull the transmission out first and then pulling the motor. even then people say it's a bitch because of the oil pan hitting.PITA
AWW$HEEET
not sure what size the bolts are, but go to harbor freight and get a really long extension, or really long sets of extensions, and a swiveling extension. ive seen/done this approach.
