Favorite Comic book character

I know this make me look even more like an uber nerd and a loser ( not that I need help). I am going to keep it simple with a breif description of why he/she is my favorite.

Deadpool hands down. Guy has had a shit life, made it in the military then contracted cancer while in the Weapon X project with Wolverine. They tried to counter act the cancer by injecting him with Wolverines mutant healing factor and the healing factor thought the cancer was a normal part of his body leaving his skin scarred and mishapen but he heals faster than Wolverine due to the cancer. Has multiple voices in his that he argues with and is just flat out hilarious, especially when he talks to them outloud. Despite his crap life he is one of THE most dangerous characters to ever walk the Marvel Universe.

I do like Deadpool. I haven't really been into any comics in quite a long time. Not sure who my favorite would be, anyway. I'd have to really think about it and it's been so long I wouldn't remember them all.

The last thing I read to completion that I really liked was Preacher.

Pretty good run. Hell... ALL of the Valiant offers were good..... for a while..... XO, Rai, Harbringer, Archer & Armstrong and Bloodshot.

Damn I miss those days....

OP if you like DeadPool then this is the book you seek, its the 1st appearance of DeadPool in any comic, its a highly sought after comic.

Back in the day, when my roomate had me into this shit, I actuallly owned that comic. I sold most of them off that weren't water damaged in a crazy Californian storm and tossed the rest. It wasn't nearly as sought after then as now, Im sure.

The Maxx was a badass as well, before MTV mainstreamed him.

Somehow, this almost exact converstion came up last night online on World of Tanks in clan chat. Deadpool came up as a couple people's fav's. Couldn't believe it wasn't someone from this thread. lol Damn coincidence.

To me nothing, but back when I as into Comics I got all kinds of hate about it. Most of my friends were all over Wolverines ass.

The Silver Surfer is/was badass. He was on my list of favs along with the X-Men, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and Spider Man. I was definitely a Marvel fanboy. From the DC perspective, I was into Batman, especially back in the early 1990s when the whole Dark Knight series (that was super dark and twisted) came out.
