SpaceGhost
This will be a home defense for a female. Any insight or opinions?
Otis Nice
Ruger SR > Ruger P. Go with an SR9 or SR40. You won't be disappointed. Honestly, I'd even say go SR9c for her. Again, I'm a bit biased.
SpaceGhost
Both of those are the ones she is looking at, because they fit her budget, please stay on the topic. I'd rather buy an XDm, for $600, but the two listed above are about $300 new.
El Karacho1647545492
i very very rarely ever hear of someone pleased with their Sigma purchase

evan9381
+1 on the sigma sucking big donkey dick. i hated mine i couldnt keep shit for a group all over the paper (a 18x24 ish sized one)...thought that being my 1st handgun, i was just a shitty shot...bought my M&P9c and took both out to the range, i was shooting 4" groups at 30' with the M&P...still all over with the sigma
verse
Save like $50 more and get a Glock 22 police trade in.

KillJoy
A P95 is kinda big..... Why not take her to Vance's and have her get a feel for each. Once done, go to a Range and rent all that "fit". Whichever she shoots best is the winner. KillJoy
Otis Nice
Apparently everyone is getting off topic...so yeah, my bad I guess. Maybe we shouldn't suggest things we feel are worth saving a life. Anyway, if you want to place a price on a home defense weapon for said female get a Hi Point C9 and call it a life. Between those two, to stay on topic, I personally would get the Ruger. macpyro2
p95 is big but it does have a manual safety. On the other hand the sigma even though they have a HUGE following of hate fans(including myself) it is very easy to operate, and still accurate enough for a home defense gun. BloodRed
I have shot both, and own the Sigma. I would go the P95 over the Sigma. The heavy ass trigger pull of the Sigma sucked. It didn't bother me much, but my wife never liked shooting it.
