blurtoyou
At trails, do you need a drive shaft loop when running drag radials?
DKilbourne
Yes, but they usually don't check.
wagner
Also depends on how fast you are going.
MrMeanGreen
It's not whether they check or not, it's what happens if you don't have one.
schmuckingham
It's not whether they check or not, it's what happens if you don't have one. coming from the guy that ran a busted 10 bolt for like 8 years haha
MrMeanGreen
Still do, but I've also ran a DSSL in the same time frame. Ya never know, and I don't wanna end up the victim of a pogo-stick driveshaft.

NTHER91
So you go running at her then your cock snaps and you plant face first into the ground and your asshole gets flung up in the air? I'm coming over to see this!!!

DKilbourne
Also depends on how fast you are going. I thought the NHRA rule said something along the lines of the use of any sticky tire, drag radials included, mandated that you have a loop. Not sure about the rest. Nickey4271647545519
11.49 and faster You have to have a drive shaft loop. 13.99-11.50 if the tires are not DOT approved then you need a drive shaft loop.

V8 Beast
$50 brand new, next to nothing used, and takes 10 minutes to install. Its a "why not" mod because if it breaks that $30 could save you thousands.

DKilbourne
So what your telling me is, get inspected with street tires then change to drag radials. No, get a loop and don't worry about it. Like people have already said, best insurance for little cash. I feel much better knowing that I have one now. My fox body got one very early on, because it was always on drag radials and they did check for them back then.
