Patterson
Heck for vacuum leaks around the manifold
TurboGoKart
Does it do it when it's hot or cold? Surging idle? Or just low idle? Either way, it still wouldn't hurt to pull the IAC off of the car and spray it out with some brake clean. Should be on the back of the intake manifold, near the throttle body. 2 12mm head bolts and 2 vacuum lines. D16Y8? Or D16Y7?
Browning
Heck for vacuum leaks around the manifold wouldn't a vacuum leak be consistent though?
Patterson
No, the intake Gasket was hoses on one of my vw's. Sometimes it would be cool, othertimes it would hardly run. Its like electricity, it just works or it doesn't
