BradyPPC Posted July 2, 2011 Report Share Posted July 2, 2011 Thought I would share a project we recently finished up. Its a 1938 Dodge Coupe that we transplanted a 5.7 Hemi into. The motor, trans, and ecu were all donated from an 04 Ram. The car sports fully functional ac, custom leather seats, and double din navigation all installed in house. That tunnel looks pretty small. Yes it is a vintage air setup. Nothing was easy on the car. Everything fits very tightly and alot of things had to be meticulously clearanced to get everything in there. The trans tunnel is extremely tight. Fortunately the floor pan had been cut and a larger tunnel welded in prior to us working on the car which allowed us to get away with minimal modifications to get the trans in. I dont know about envy though.....This one was one that made you want to beat your head against a wall throughout the build. Everytime you would take a step forward it felt like 2 steps back either from waiting on parts, customer supplied parts having issues, or the time it took to custom fab things. Getting to put together some unique stuff and making it work is still awesome in my book. Yeah, i can agree with that. The making it work thing is definitely a challenge that can lead to some long nights and large headaches but in the end it is totally worth it. The cool thing about this car is the guy actually drives it. It is from Canton and the guy picked it up and drove it back.
