unfunnyryan
What are you going to be using it for? That bundle is pretty sweet for the price.

unfunnyryan
Solid enough. I would try to find a core i3 bundle instead, but whatever works. I hope he plans on adding a video card and solid power supply as well

Do you know of any i3 bundles comparable. I can look at numbers on them all day long but have no idea what they mean.
YellowBalt
look for an i5 setup. For gaming 4 faster cores are going to be better than 6 slower cores. Might want to hold off and see what AMD's bulldozer series can do in August. If you want to stay AMD and low budget the X4 955 is good, but you might as well skip that and get an i3-i5. The 6 cores is the only thing the x6 has on the i5 but it will not be utilized in gaming. Even if newer games actually utilize more cores, the i5 will still out perform any 6 core out. More money but worth it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.661407 Here are some benchmarks of some CPUs: http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph4083/35038.png http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph4083/35041.png http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph4083/35047.png Edited July 6, 2011 by YellowBalt
