RESFOR Naval Reserve Project

Naval Reserve Center (NOSC)

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED

  • Up to 90% Travel associated with position.
  • 1-yr plus long contract.
  • Candidates interact with very high ranking military officials, so they must be SHARP!

 

  • Security + Certification required. If they don't have one, it must be obtained in the first 30 days.
  • All expenses are paid weekly.
  • Region Naval Base is home base.
  • Tech will work Thursday-Monday (standard 8-5 work days) on drill weekends. If there is no drill, it will be standard Monday – Friday. They will train and work locally for the first few weeks before they begin traveling. Tuesday and Wednesday are considered off days.
  • They will normally work a Navy Reserve site within their region on Friday, work with the Reservists 8 hours each on Saturday and Sunday, and then travel back home on Monday.
  • The two travel days count as 8-hour days. The fifth day of their work-week will be spent at their home site supporting the local RESFOR team, completing reports, and preparing for the next trip

All RESFOR Premier Support Technicians MUST have the following skills:

 

  • Final Secret or better clearance
  • Security + Certification (or able to obtain within 60 days of hire)
  • Advanced Active Directory Knowledge/Experience
  • Advanced Knowledge/Experience with Microsoft products (specifically XP Operating Systems)
  • Advanced Knowledge of a COTS ticketing system (preferably Remedy or Heat)** Please note that all technicians will be moving to SM7 and will be trained
  • Knowledge of Common Access Cards (CAC)
  • Knowledge of Navy customer (prior NMCI experience is a plus, prior military experience is helpful)
  • Knowledge of printers (network and stand-alone, multiple vendors)
  • Exceptional customer support skills
  • Able to lift and carry 50lbs
  • Able to work with minimal direction
  • Able to travel on short notice and consistently up to 90% of the month.
  • Work week is 40 hrs a week within a seven day period (Monday to Sunday) / 8 hours a day no OT.
  • Typical work week is Thursday – Monday
