nurkvinny
So I noticed that even if the A/C button is off, if I run the vent it is ice cold air coming out. The A/C is on any time the fan is on. I searched the typical Tahoe / Yukon forums; found nothing. Besides unplugging the compressor, any ideas? Snowflake
No help, but I noticed the other day my defrost is on all the time in the GTP. I hit the on off button a couple times and it goes off but it comes back on whenever I restart the car. Possessed?
AJ
do you have it on defrost? if you do then yes it should be on. chad, sounds like the blend door actuator is going out or the control head its self. both are very common.
nurkvinny
do you have it on defrost? if you do then yes it should be on. Duh. It can be vent, floor, combo vent/floor, it doesn't matter if the blower motor is on any position, the air is definitely A/C air, not just vent. The A/C button has the yellow LED. Whether that is on or off makes no difference. Confirmed today compressor is cycling even when A/C off (and not in defrost). Not a huge deal now, but I don't want to lose the mpg this Fall/Winter driving around all day with the compressor running.

KennyFKINPowerz
My wife had a similar problem with her 02 Yukon and it was the switch panel.
