Patterson Posted September 28, 2011 Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 Kinda my own Unicorn. I've dragging my feet with this car for ever. The mood has struck me just right oday to finally get around to doing this. I've had the car since '03ish IIRC. We repainted it, new interior, Brakes, Tires etc. Motor was left Original since it ran at the time. New Seals for the glass, all Chrome replaced. Being it has sat the brakes will need to be re-flushed, the chrome needs a serious cleaning (may come back), and the paint has started to fade, with some clear peeling. Little bit of Garage rash on the D/S rear fender. Still a solid car, no real rust to speak of. Sadly it has sat since '05 when my daughter was born. Never had time, Moving, Job changes, other projects, and what not. Pretty straight forward deal here. The motor (1500cc Single port) was pulled out for cleaning and to detail the engine bay in '08 when I moved back to Westerville. Other projects and ventures took over again, and it has sat ever since. Those of you that have been over to my place have watched me troll myself about it. Well now it has to go. If I were to put it back together the price goes up. I have it appraised every year for insurance, and right now it is at 86-8700.00 IIRC. '08 It was 9800.00 before the market dropped out.
