accel_is_my_drug
Help, My little POS daily driver (95 integra LS) has become annoying loud and there are half a dozen hose clamps holding the exhaust together. I stopped by a monroes muffler and shock shop and they quoted me 600 bucks for a new cat back system. I think that is ridiculous. Can anyone recommend a cheap place to get a new exhaust? I want to put as little cash into the car as possible, as I can't seem to justify spending money on something with 230,000 miles. Any info is appreciated! jeffro
buy a cheap aftermarket on ebay and install it yourself. 4 door or 2 door? Alot cheaper than 600$ and will last at least a few years. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-01-ACURA-INTEGRA-RS-GS-LS-CATBACK-EXHAUST-2DR-COUPE-/380372727662?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AIntegra|Submodel%3ALS&hash=item588ffb376e i ran an open 3" downpipe ending at the oil pan for several months. the fumes got to me before the noise... accel_is_my_drug
Buy parts and do it yourself? ROckAUto has them super cheap, but I lack the technology to weld stuff if the hangers are not included or in the wrong spot... maybe for 160 bucks total, I just do it anyways.... accel_is_my_drug
As cheap as the aftermarket ones are on EBAY, I have morals that would prevent me from putting a 4 inch tipped exhaust that actually has a 1 inch diameter pipe coming from the muffler.....
