nuttinfas
So I want to put cams in my cobra. I have comp stage two and I dont like the sound. I want more lope. Like the old mussle car sound. Its got a supercharger on it so id have to use something good for the. Any ideas. Im also gonna be forging the bottom end. Would doing a .20over help give more torque. schmuckingham
Need more details like what year it is? 2V or 4V? Ported heads, how much boost? Honestly I had Crower Supercharger cams in my lightning and they did not lope at all

99BlownYellowGT
I had a custom grind from livernois in my 2v i think they sounded nice and made good power. On 4lbs less boost and through a IC i ended up making 50 more rwhp on a conservative tune.
nuttinfas
I was happy with the power but I want a mussle.car lope. Lol.it made 537 rwhp.

That is the dumbest reason to swap cams, if the cams you are running are best suited for the setup then run those instead of going with some big lopey thing that kills power. I agree with this but whatever you like I guess
twistedfocus1647545489
Too much overlap sounds cool and all but can hurt power, especially on boosted cars. I'm still considering swapping out the B-cam in the fox because I'd like something with a wider lobe separation (less overlap - though it would be less lopey). I agree that's a hell of alot of money to spend on sound alone, but to each their own.

1slow-z
Do you want to go fast? Do an Ls1 swap with a ms3 end of story.
Buckeye1647545503
Do you want to go fast? Do an Ls1 swap with a ms3 end of story. Yeah because that's the only motor to ever go fast
brent1976
Yeah because that's the only motor to ever go fast There are a lot of different LS engines, so you are right LS1 is not the only one. If you are looking for sound from a cam get on youtube, there are 10000000 idle clips of mustangs with cams.
nuttinfas
I have an ls car. Got a tbss. But I think gms are cheap on the interior. I just love my stang. Not a huge camaro fan. Ive had both. I do luv our ss though. Its my wifes. Lol
brent1976
I was just messing with buckeye. Not all fords are bad, I guess:). I do like quite a few of the newer ones, but the dash of your mustang is the same as a '96 powerstroke service truck I have at work. Just sayin
brent1976
I don't know what CMS is, but the comp does sound pretty tame.
